If I am using a 64 Bit Operating System using 64 Bit capable hardware, am I limited in how much ram Cinema 4D R11 can address by using the 32 Bit Version, and if I have 6 gigs of ram how much of that ram will be addressed? And to my pleasent surprise Cinema 4D R11 32 Bit loaded successfully without issue and even loaded all the plugin's which were not available in the Cinema 64 Bit version. Under the impression that if I wanted to use 32 Bit mode of Cinema I would need the Pro version or the Ultimate version or even have to buy another copy of 32 Bit Windows 7 to use legally and switch between boots for 64 Bit OS and 32 Bit OS, it came to me that what the hell, why don't I just try and use 32 Bit Cinema 4D where I know that all the plugin's that I knew that worked on my laptop (using Vista 32 Bit OS) with the Windows 64 version. Now we know that after a day playing around on the computer learning and creating that when we go to bed at night we lay awake and things just seem to come to us in our imaginations and we sometimes ask questions, and this was for me was one of those times. Having never used a 64 bit OS before I was under the impression that you needed to use 64 Bit capable apps so I installed Cinema 4D 64 Bit. So when I had to make a decision on what operating system version to go for I didn't want to spend any more than I really had to but gave me the flexibility to use the OS on any future computers or motherboards without issue, so I chose Windows 7 Primium Retail and as you are only allowed to install one licenced version to a computer, i.e 32 BIt or 64 Bit I obviously wanted the 64 Bit version so I could take advantage of the 6 gig of DDR3 ram. This was a particular concern when it came to plugin's also and as we know Cinema has plugin's written for either 32 Bit 64 Bit or both (though there are some which don't have 64 Bit versions). I was thinking for a period of time before building my I7 system that the operating system was going to be something that may have compromised my applications in preventing them from working.
